Yelena Gadzhievna Isinbayeva born June 3, 1982 is a Russian pole vaulter. She is twice Olympic gold medalist (2004 and 2008), a world champion three times (2005, 2007 and 2013) and the holder of the current world record in the event.
Isinbayeva has been a nine-time champion (Olympic, World Champion and outdoor indoor and European outdoor and indoor champion). She was also the winner of the jackpot IAAF Golden League series in 2007 and 2009. She became the first woman to clear the five-meter barrier in 2005. His current world record is 5.06 m outdoors, set in Zurich in August 2009.
